We believe that all true believers are to be baptized by immersion as an act of obedience and a a testimony of their faith. It’s an identification in the body of Christ as believers are joined to Him in his death and resurrection. Baptism is a celebration of what Christ has done in the life of the believer. Lakeside believes this to be an important and meaningful ordinance. At Lakeside, we believe church is more than a place we attend—it’s a family we belong to.
While the Bible does not give us a specific process or formula for church membership, we see throughout Scripture a clear picture of believers committed to one another, worshiping together, serving together, caring for one another, and living out their faith as a community. We believe church membership is one way we express that kind of commitment.

For us, membership is about belonging. It’s a commitment to be part of the Lakeside family—to grow in faith together, serve alongside one another, encourage and care for each other, and participate in the mission God has given our church.

Membership isn’t about having everything figured out or being perfect. It’s about taking a step toward deeper connection and commitment within our faith community.
